Every time you donate to Tampa Bay Raptor Rescue you help our injured, sick and orphaned native birds. Your donations can provide a consistent and reliable source of funding that will allow us to build The Tampa Bay Raptor Center.




 

There are other ways you can help

If you are unable to send money, that’s okay, we totally understand, there are other ways you can help.  Below is a list of items that we use daily.  Your donation of goods such as paper towers and clean and un-frayed towels, sheets, fleece,  and blankets will go a long way.

List of items that we use daily:

  • Towels, Sheets and pillowcases
  • Newspaper & Bleach
  • Laundry detergent, Dawn dishwashing liquid
  • Trash bags – janitor, lawn and kitchen sizes
  • Large Gallon sized Baggies for food storage
  • Gauze, gauze and more gauze, all sizes
  • Telfa and Tagaderm bandages
  • Alcohol and perixoide
  • Rolls of cotton
  • Baggies for food
  • Vet wrap, 1, 2 or 4 inch
  • Silk Tape, and other medical tapes
  • 100 foot hose
  • Bed or waterproof pads
  • Brooder
  • Pet Scale that can weigh an eagle
  • Craft sticks, tooth picks, wooden sticks for fracture repair
  • Forceps – need extra long pairs
  • Bird cages – in good shape
  • Large water bowls
  • Dog and cat crates
  • Perches in good shape
  • Fish that are freshly frozen especially shallow water fish (for osprey and eagles) also bait fish for water birds and gulls
  • Meal worms and crickets – live
  • Exact Kaytee hand feeding baby bird formula
  • Peanut butter, oatmeal (old fashion), millet, corn meal, romaine lettuce, red grapes, carrots, kale, especially during baby bird season
  • Fresh bird seed, millet, cracked corn, whole corn
  • Fresh caught fish (that are found in shallow water or near the surface that an eagle or osprey could catch) including Lady Fish and bait fish
  • Chicks, rabbits, rats and mice bought from reputable sources (cannot be caught wild)
  • Bags of builders sand
  • Gift Certificates to Home Depot or Lowes for wood and hardware to build more mews
  • 7 cubic foot refrigerator to store birds food

Tampa Bay Raptor Rescue is an organization of volunteers and licensed rehabilitators that serves the public need for bird/avian rescue in the Tampa Bay area and beyond. Members of this organization are committed to best practices and work only with federally and state permitted rehabiltators. This organization operates solely on donations from the public.

When considering your end of the year donations, we are a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and your donations, in kind or cash are 100% tax deductible. Supplies can be dropped off at Nancy’s House.  Donations should be mailed to Tampa Bay Raptor Rescue, PO Box 47392, St Pete, FL 33743
