Tampa Bay Raptor Rescue is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization that serves the purpose of rescuing and releasing our injured or orphaned Florida Native birds back into their natural environment. We are driven to help preserve our native birds and are dedicated to conservation education. We serve the greater Tampa Bay area, including Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough counties and the surrounding areas.
We are an organization of volunteers and a network of licensed rehabilitators that serves the public need for bird/avian rescue in the Tampa Bay area and beyond. Members of this organization are committed to the best practices and work with federally and state permitted rehabilitation centers that adhere to the best national standards. We work with several independent veterinary partners as well as Busch Gardens. Additionally, we work with several Animal Emergency Clinics. This organization operates solely on donations from the public.
Our shared goal is to rescue, repair, rehabilitate and release wild birds of prey. In some individual cases birds that are not releasable can be placed permanently in educational programs as avian ambassadors.
